The BlueFire® atmospheric CO2 particle-plasma composite spray treatment system is an innovative technology for treating challenging surface preparation requirements. BlueFire blown ion CO2 plasma treatment (other treatment gases available) assists a CO2 composite spray with stubborn contamination removal while increasing surface energy, which enhances surface cleanliness and promotes adhesion of ink, adhesive, metallization, wire bonds and paints. With the BlueFire blown ion plasma module, plasma processing no longer requires a vacuum chamber. Plasma treatment can be applied at a chosen spot or across the entire surface. BlueFire provides a higher power density and more uniform surface treatment than common corona discharge plasmas.
BlueFire represents the state-of-the-art in selective surface modification, combining positively charged ions, radicals, UV energy, and heat. Combined with CO2 composite spray cleaning, conductive or non-conductive surfaces can be precision cleaned and modified to enhance bonding, coating, printing, plating, assembly, dispensing, and many other assembly operations. A variety of surface contaminations can be removed including masking agents, films, solder flux residues, particulates, and mold release residues while modifying the underlying surfaces to improve wettability and adhesion. BlueFire is a robust surface preparation technology for virtually any surface preparation requirement…on the bench or on the production line.
