Thermal Control and Cleaning Tool
The 2Cool Tool™ provides process engineers with a combination of powerful and controllable process aids for removing process contamination in the form of surface residues and heat. The 2Cool Tool eliminates the need for cleaning solvents and inefficient compressed air cooling. The
2Cool Tool utilizes a patented Coanda-Coaxial CO2 composite spray process called CoolPulse™ to keep surfaces clean and cool using precisely-applied, powerful scrubbing CO2 particles and dry cold air. The 2Cool Tool uniquely provides two functions in one. First it cleans, eliminating the need for solvent cleaning. Second it cools. The 2Cool Tool enables clean and continuous coating operations, even on small or thin substrates by preventing overheating. The 2Cool Tool cools the substrate surface and successive layers of coating with microscopic CO2 particles entrained in clean, dry air (CDA). Temperature is precisely controlled by independently adjusting (pulsing) the Coaxial CO2 particle concentration and Coanda CDA flow independently, including induced atmospheric airflow generated from a Coanda nozzle. Energetically applied to a surface, heat is removed very efficiently to maintain an optimal surface temperature while maintaining the surface clean and free of particle debris. One or more IR thermometer(s) automatically adjust and maintain the cleaning, cooling spray.
